I obtained a BA in Modern languages and literatures at the Università di Napoli ‘L’Orientale’ (2005) and an MA in Language and Communication at the Università degli Studi di Bologna ‘Alma Mater’ (2008). In 2014, I completed my PhD at Lancaster University with a thesis titled “Gender and language use in the Italian parliament”. In the following years, I taught in several UK universities before starting at the University of Brighton as a Lecturer in Sociolinguistics in 2018.
